October 22, 2025 marked a special moment for MOVE ON UP: the consortium met in person for the very first time in Rijeka, Croatia. After months of online meetings, this onsite gathering gave faces, voices, and shared energy to the collaboration behind the project. Partners came together to review progress, align on key work packages, and dive deeper into the next steps of content development, digital tools, dissemination, and implementation. Being in the same room made discussions more dynamic and allowed ideas to flow more naturally, strengthening both the technical work and the human connections within the consortium.
The meeting was also an opportunity to reflect on what MOVE ON UP represents beyond milestones and deliverables. Conversations focused on shared values, long-term impact, and the importance of working closely with people living with Parkinson’s, caregivers, and professionals throughout the project’s journey.
By the end of the day, goals were clearer, responsibilities were aligned, and motivation was high. The Rijeka meeting laid solid foundations for the next phases of the project and reminded everyone that collaboration works best when people can finally meet, exchange, and move forward together.
