April 2025 marked an important milestone for MOVE ON UP, as the project was presented at national level across different countries. Through a series of events, workshops, and conferences, partners brought the project into real-world contexts, connecting with people living with Parkinson’s disease, healthcare professionals, students, and local stakeholders.
In Portugal, the national presentation took place at Egas Moniz School of Health and Science, with the active involvement of Young Parkies Portugal. The event focused on the role of physical activity in Parkinson’s disease and introduced MOVE ON UP as an innovative digital approach to support active living. Discussions explored real-life barriers to exercise, the potential of digital solutions, and the importance of building strong support networks at community level.
In Italy, MOVE ON UP was presented during a national conference at the University of Chieti–Pescara. The event brought together researchers, clinicians, and associations to reflect on physical activity, neuroprotection, and the role of innovation in Parkinson’s care. The project was shared as a concrete response to current challenges, highlighting how digital tools can help bridge gaps in access, training, and long-term engagement.
In Greece, MOVE ON UP was featured within a large scientific conference on physical education and sport. The presentation reached an academic and professional audience, placing the project within a broader discussion on health, physical activity, and digital innovation. This context helped strengthen dialogue between research, education, and applied practice.
In Croatia, the national presentation was held on World Parkinson’s Day in Rijeka. The event brought together students, healthcare professionals, and people living with Parkinson’s disease. MOVE ON UP was presented as a practical and inclusive initiative, sparking strong interest in digital exercise programs, motivational approaches, and the value of collaboration between sectors.
Across all countries, these national presentations shared a common goal: making MOVE ON UP visible, understandable, and relevant at local level. They created space for dialogue, exchange, and connection, reinforcing the idea that innovation works best when it is shared, discussed, and built together.
