New milestones reached: key educational modules submitted

MOVE ON UP continues to make great progress: another two major project deliverables have been officially submitted!

Our digital training pathway is expanding to support the entire Parkinson’s community. Over the past weeks, the team has successfully finalized and submitted:

  • D2.2 “Educational and Exercise Modules for PwP and Caregivers” (submitted in March), provides a comprehensive 8-week digital intervention for People with Parkinson’s. This specialized curriculum features 6 educational modules (totaling nearly 4 hours of video instruction) covering practical concepts like “The Exercise Pizza” and dual tasking. Paired with 24 progressive exercise sessions yielding 19 hours of video content, the program is led by clinical specialists Josefa Domingos and John M. Dean and focuses on strengthening the brain-body connection.

  • D3.1 “Online Educational Modules for HCP” (submitted just a few days ago),

delivers a modular, accessible Moodle-based learning package (MOOC) designed for health professionals. This digital pathway blends clinical and exercise training with patient support. It utilizes interactive tools—such as H5P, quizzes, and branching scenarios—to transform static reading into active learning, guiding users through scientific foundations, exercise principles, and safe support strategies. Successful completion culminates in an automatically generated Certificate of Qualification.

These submissions represent a massive step forward in turning our research into concrete, accessible tools for multidisciplinary Parkinson’s care.

MOVE ON UP keeps moving.
